The 25th Anniversary Toronto Fringe Festival is in full swing right now! Here’s a complete list of this year’s Fringe previews to help you plan your patronage. Thanks to all of the theatre creators who sat down for a chat!
- Honest Aesop’s Fables
- Saint Francis Talks to the Birds
- Elizabeth – Darcy
- My High-Heeled Life
- Stalled
- Teach Me
- A Midsummer Night’s Dream… A Puppet Epic!
The festival also features creations by past guests of WalkLeft, the Podcast. Those shows include:
- Adventure! – a play by Matt Gorman, who became one of the podcast’s most provocative guests to-date when talking about Cart/Horse Theatre‘s production of This Lime Tree Bower.
- Shakespeare, M.D. – the latest incarnation of The Spur-Of-The-Moment Shakespeare Collective‘s Shakespeare-In-Hospitals Showcase, which Victoria Urquhart discussed in this episode.
- We Are The Bomb – the newest play from Theatre Brouhaha‘s incomparable Kat Sandler, who was one of the podcast’s first guests when her play Delicacy debuted.
There were also a few Fringe shows that wanted to personally invite listeners of the podcast to their performances, but circumstances did not allow for episodes to be made with them. It’s the thought that counts, right? Here are those honourable mentions:
Have a great Fringe! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
